|Terms and Conditions:
- "WhatsApp Roaming Pass" ("WhatsApp Pass") and the relevant data roaming daily charges ("Daily Charge") are applicable to (1) 3HK 4G LTE / 3G postpaid customers (the "Customers") who have subscribed for data service and Full Roaming service; and (2) Customers using data roaming service in the designated destinations and on the designated networks. Standard data roaming charges will apply otherwise.
- Full Roaming service will be activated automatically upon activation of “Data Roaming Daily Pass”. For details of Full Roaming service, please visit www.three.com.hk/roaming.
- A confirmation SMS will be sent out when WhatsApp Pass subscription is effective. Please note that WhatsApp Pass subscription will stay effective until customer cancels the subscription. As such, upon customer’s arrival at another overseas location which is also a WhatsApp Pass designated destination, the WhatsApp Pass will be activated and effective automatically and customer will be charged with the relevant WhatsApp Pass Charges.
- WhatsApp Pass only applies to VoIP voice call, delivery of text and voice messages, images and video clips. Other data roaming usage not set out herein will be blocked under WhatsApp Pass ("Other Data Roaming Usage"). Data Roaming Daily Pass may be subscribed for if such Other Data Roaming Usage is required (please follow instructions of "Dialing guide for subscription / upgrading and others" under Section B).
- Daily Charge starts to incur upon successful subscription and on each day when WhatsApp Pass is in use. Daily Charge is chargeable on a daily basis and will not be pro-rated even if WhatsApp Pass is effective and terminated within the same day. Regardless of the location and time zone of a customer, a day means from 00:00 to 23:59 (Hong Kong time) and the cut-off time is 23:59 (Hong Kong time) each night. If data roaming usage extends beyond the daily cut-off time, another day of Daily Charge will apply.
- If Customer opts for an upgrade from WhatsApp Pass to Data Roaming Daily Pass, Daily Charge of WhatsApp Roaming Pass chargeable on the same day will be waived once the Daily Roaming Daily Pass is in use. Service fee and data usage under Data Roaming Daily Pass will be calculated each day from 00:00 to 23:59 (Hong Kong time) regardless of the physical location of a Customer. Terms and Conditions of Data Roaming Daily Pass will apply (www.three.com.hk/dailypass).
- Separate Daily Charge applies for each individual destination on designated network within the same day (except for Mainland China, Macau & Europe where one Daily Charge will apply for all areas within such destinations on the same day. Designated destinations within Europe are subject to 3HK’s publication on www.three.com.hk/whatsapproaming. Regarding the In-flight Daily Pass service, the aircraft roaming network is supported by “AeroMobile”. If you are taking more than one flights on the same day (within 00:00 to 23:59 Hong Kong time) and using the same network, one Daily Pass will be charged. Designated destinations and network operators may be subject to change from time to time. 3HK reserves the right to amend or cancel any part of the WhatsApp Pass service at any time without prior notice.
- Once WhatsApp Pass is effective, the Data Network Shield service will also be activated (unless it has been released manually by Customer) and Customer may only use data roaming service on designated networks at designated destinations under WhatsApp Pass. All other roaming services (including voice calls, SMSs and video calls) will remain to be accessible on all available networks at standard roaming charges. The code to release Data Network Shield via handset is [*107*888#].
- WhatsApp Pass may be terminated via the same channels of subscription. Key in [*130*2#] if terminate via mobile handset. Data Network Shield service will be released immediately on the day upon receipt of the WhatsApp Pass termination request by 3HK. Once the Data Network Shield is released, data roaming will also be available on non-designated networks and standard data roaming charges will apply to such data usage. Cut off time for termination of WhatsApp Pass is at 23:59 (Hong Kong time) daily. Termination of WhatsApp Pass will be effective at 00:00 (Hong Kong time) on the following day. Termination notification will be sent via SMS. Please note: Full Roaming service will remain effective despite termination of WhatsApp Pass, standard roaming charges will apply if customers continue to use data roaming and other roaming services. Customers are suggested to turn off the data roaming function in the mobile handset after termination of WhatsApp Pass in order to avoid incurring unnecessary data roaming charges. Notification will be sent via SMS, 3Care of 3HK website and/or Planet 3 (depends on the channel through which the termination request is submitted) to Customers if termination of WhatsApp Pass is not successful.
- Usage of the WhatsApp Pass is subject to the network and service coverage, system compatibility and other relevant conditions of the designated networks, which are subject to changes without prior notice.
- WhatsApp Pass is not applicable to usage on tethering or Peer to Peer ("PTP"). If usage is incurred from or by tethering or PTP on applications, including but not limited to BitTorrent, edonkey, flashget, foxy, ppstream, winmx, etc., or if there is any abusive or abnormal usage, 3HK reserves the right to forthwith terminate WhatsApp Pass without prior notice. All commercial or illegal promotion activities via the use of WhatsApp Pass is prohibited.
- WhatsApp Pass is not applicable to maritime roaming/satellite roaming.
- 4G LTE service will be available only when (i) compatible handset or device supporting 4G bandwidth is used and (ii) in the destinations where 4G LTE service infrastructure has been developed.
- 3HK reserves the rights to amend the charges, terms and conditions (including but not limited to designated destinations and designated networks and their coverage) of WhatsApp Pass and to suspend or terminate any part of such service at any time without prior notice in case 3HK terminates cooperation with WhatsApp Inc. or any roaming partners. 3HK shall have the final decision in case of any dispute.
