Bringing PC-like Internet Browsing Experience to Mobile Phones with a Flat Monthly Plan of $28
19 December, 2006, HONG KONG – 3 Hong Kong today announced that it has partnered with Novarra to exclusively launch 3Xplorer, an innovative mobile internet browsing engine enabling customers to enjoy unparalleled PC-like experience when accessing the Internet on mobile phones. The application can be run on all of the 3 Hong Kong’s new and most of the deployed handsets. Together with a flat monthly plan of HK$28, 3Xplorer is to fuel the popularisation of internet browsing on mobile phones in Hong Kong.
3Xplorer is powered by Novarra’s nWeb™ platform version 6.0. With Novarra’s technology running on 3’s network, customers can access the Internet on mobile phones at a greatly improved speed of about 40 to 80% faster when compared to mobile phones without 3Xplorer. The layout and content of the web page will also be smartly re-organised and re-sized to ensure perfect presentation of the content on different models of mobile phone, enabling superb readability, speedy scrolling as well as accessing details when zooming.

Customers can access favourite websites via a 3 Hong Kong handset in just a few clicks and perform a wide-range of Internet-based activities such as online ticketing, viewing and inputting blog, sharing on social networks as well as monitoring online auction bids etc. To celebrate the launch of 3Xplorer, customers are entitled to free trial until the end of March 2007 upon subscription of 3Xplorer.
