| 3 Hong Kong launches "Turbo 3G" 3.6Mbps HSDPA Network |

Introducing the most flexible data tariff plan and lightest HSDPA modem handset
29 November, 2006, HONG KONG – 3 Hong Kong today announced the launch of its “Turbo 3G” 3.6Mbps High Speed Downlink Packet Access (HSDPA) network, providing customers with mega-speed broadband Internet access and services. 3 Hong Kong will also offer its customers an unprecedented, most flexible HSDPA data tariff plan, which starts from a monthly fee of HK$28. With this flexible plan, customers from all walks of life can fully enjoy the convenience brought about by “Turbo 3G” service and thereby helps propagate mobile data applications services.
Moreover, 3 Hong Kong’s “Turbo 3” service comes with the most comprehensive range of HSDPA products. Choosing from a series of HSDPA devices including the exclusive LG U830 modem handsets, data card and USB modem, customers will be able to enjoy high-speed Internet surfing any time, anywhere they like.
The Most Flexible HSDPA Data Tariff Plan
3 Hong Kong believes that not only will mega-speed broadband allow customers to enjoy even more Internet services, it will increase one’s efficiency at work and improve the quality of life. In order to encourage more customers to use “Turbo 3G” service, 3 Hong Kong has introduced, for the first time in Hong Kong, the most flexible tariff plan – EasyPlus VAS Package for HSDPA handsets . For only $28 a month, customers can enjoy 2MB data usage. On each month’s billing date, 3 Hong Kong will adjust the charges in accordance to the customer’s total data usage, to ensure customers always enjoy the most favourable data plan.

For example, John Chan has subscribed to an EasyPlus VAS Package for HSDPA handsets of $28. On his billing date, his total data usage is 5MB. If he has not subscribed
to the EasyPlus VAS Package for HSDPA handsets , he will have to pay: $28 + {$0.05 x (3 x 1024kb)} = $181.60. As an "EasyPlus VAS Package for HSDPA handsets" subscriber, John only needs to pay $58, saving himself $123.60.
Using EasyPlus VAS Package for HSDPA handsets , customers can enjoy mega-speed broadband Internet access with complete peace of mind, without having to bother about the huge amount of excess data charges.
In addition to the need for mobile Internet access via handsets, 3 Hong Kong understands that customers also need a data card/USB modem for accessing the Internet via their laptops. 3 Hong Kong is therefore introducing various EasyPlus Data Plans so that customers may enjoy flexible charges on data usage.

The Lightest HSDPA Modem Handset
3 Hong Kong’s “Turbo 3G” is dedicated to enabling customers to enjoy convenient Internet access via HSDPA network anywhere, any time. A light and compact HSDPA handset is hence the best means for mega-speed Internet access. 3 Hong Kong now introduces LG U830 – the lightest HSDPA modem handset in Hong Kong. With its all-enticing “LG-Chocolate” sleek design and musical tactile keypad, the handset is only 14.8mm thick and weighs a mere 95g. Apart from being a communications tool, the LG U830 acts as a modem and connects to laptops via Bluetooth or USB cable for Internet access. The standalone handset price for LG U830 is $3,280. However, with the “Pair Up” subscription offer of 3 Hong Kong’s 3G service, customers can purchase the handset at only $1,780. Customers who port their mobile numbers to 3 Hong Kong are entitled to an additional rebate of $300. In addition, customers of 3 Hong Kong can purchase a Huawei E630 HSDPA data card or Huawei E220 USB modem for a premium price of $1,680, so that they can use together with the EasyPlus Data Plans to enjoy the flexibility of accessing the Internet outdoors with their laptops.

Customers are able to experience for themselves the mega-speed of using “Turbo 3G” for downloads, completely free of charge. From 5 December, 2006 onwards, customers purchasing the LG U830 can download the latest music videos and full track of hit songs for free from the “Turbo 3G Free Zone” in the Music Channel of 3 Hong Kong via their HSDPA handsets.
