Hong Kong, 17 December 2014 – 3 Hong Kong, the mobile telecommunications division of Hutchison Telecommunications Hong Kong Holdings Limited (HTHKH; stock code: 215), now covers the greatest number1 of worldwide destinations among all Hong Kong telecoms operators with its data roaming day plans.
This milestone achievement follows expansion of the company’s roaming service to address a total of 149 destinations. Customers can stay connected with the rest of the world via 199 networks when travelling internationally, thanks to a variety of day passes from 3 Hong Kong.

3 Hong Kong was the first local telecoms operator to launch a data roaming daily pass, and continues to co-operate with operators around the world to expand roaming coverage – all in line with the company’s “Better at 3” philosophy of continuous improvement.
From today, 3 Hong Kong’s data roaming daily pass service is available at 23 new destinations in Europe, Asia and Africa including emerging travel hotspots such as Fiji, Brunei and Cuba, as well as developing geographies such as Sudan, Myanmar and Zambia. In addition, 3 Hong Kong is the only local operator1 providing data roaming daily pass service at 17 destinations such as Senegal and Bhutan (see table).
New data roaming app version enables easy subscription to daily passes
Another customer benefit is the flexibility to subscribe to 3 Hong Kong Data Roaming Plans – including the 3Roam Data Plan, WhatsApp Roaming Pass and Data Roaming Daily Pass – via a new version of the 3HK Roaming data app. This comes complete with a simple and fresh user interface plus new search function. Information including a list of roaming network operators, along with daily fee and thereafter service charge relating to any one destination, is displayed after a search is performed.
