3 Hong Kong first to launch "SMS Divert" service forwarding and mailbox features available
27 July 2007, Hong Kong – 3HK today announced the launch of the first-ever “SMS Divert” service in Hong Kong. With “SMS Divert” service, customers will no longer miss any important SMS, as customers can forward their SMS to a designated mobile number or an email address. Moreover, customers will be provided with a mailbox to store up to 1,000 SMS.

“SMS Divert”- A New Breakthrough in Value-added Services
Call forwarding is a common value-added service, which divert incoming calls excluding SMS to a designated local number. With similar principle and operation of call forwarding, “SMS Divert” service enables customers to divert their SMS to a designated local or overseas mobile number or even an email address. As “SMS Divert” service is applicable to both 2G and 3G customers, all customers from now on can enjoy the convenience of obtaining important SMS anytime, anywhere.

“SMS Divert” offers mailbox feature in addition to forwarding. All incoming SMS will be saved up in a mailbox where customers can access via 3HK website or 3G handset, and the maximum storage is up to 1,000 SMS. In case of changing or loss of mobile phone, customers can retrieve important messages from the SMS mailbox.

Easy to use and change divert instructions any time
To activate the “SMS Divert” to a designated mobile number, simply press [**146*][Mobile Number][#][Send] on the mobile phone. For diverting SMS to an email address, customers need to do simple settings in 3HK website. Moreover, service activation, de-activation, or checking divert setting can easily be done via logging into 3HK website or Planet3 on 3G handsets.

Flexible Charging Scheme to Suit Customer Needs
Customers are offered Monthly Passwith forwarding and mailbox features or Day Pass without mailbox feature, special price at $8* and $2* respectively.

Free Trial of “SMS Divert”
During the free trial period till 31 August, all new 3G or 2G customers‡ are entitled to enjoy a two-month free trial of “SMS Divert” service with forwarding and mailbox features.

*Forward SMS to a subscriber of other Hong Kong designated mobile operator, or overseas operator, and roaming charges are not included.
‡New 3G customers subscribing to HK$188 or above service plan and new 2G customers subscribing to HK$88 or above service plan will be automatically entitled to enjoy the “SMS Divert” service.
SMS mailbox feature with a capacity of 1,000 SMS will be charged at HK$2 per month. The first two months service fees will be waived. (This special offer will be available soon.)
