‘Best overall convincing and coherent strategy in Hong Kong’ and
‘Best overall corporate governance in Hong Kong’ by Euromoney Magazine |

Hong Kong, 1 March 2010 – Hutchison Telecommunications Hong Kong Holdings Limited (“Hutchison Telecom Hong Kong Holdings”; “Group”; SEHK: 215) today announced that the Group was named as the winner of “Best overall convincing and coherent strategy in Hong Kong” and “Best overall corporate governance in Hong Kong” in Euromoney Magazine’s ‘Best Managed and Governed Companies - Asia Poll 2010’.
Euromoney Magazine is an international reputable financial magazine. Euromoney’s
‘Best Managed and Governed Companies - Asia Poll’ has taken place since 1999 and is seen as the benchmark survey of the opinions of equity analysts in the region. Each year, they invite analysts at the largest investment banks and research institutes in the Asia Pacific region to nominate their top companies in each of the Asian countries they cover, taking into account of a number of factors including market strengths, profitability, management accessibility, accounting transparency and corporate governance procedures amongst others.
This is the 9th annual ranking of the Best Managed and Governed Companies in Asia that Euromoney has published. The poll is based on replies received from a total of 221 of the leading equity analysts at the largest investment banks and research houses in the Asia Pacific region.
Analysts praised Hutchison Telecom Hong Kong Holdings for its leading role in promoting transparent communication to investors, citing that “the company has a clear strategy and good visibility”. Analysts also noted that Hutchison Telecom Hong Kong Holdings “has shown an effective cost control and strategic focus whilst consistently going for quality.”
